"We think that a line is straight and a circle is round, but if we will unravel the lie, we can unravel the secret. Words are figurative."

Metaphorical Life

If your life is an hourglass,
Will it tell time?
Will it be the same
As the sands rush with each other?

If your life is a book,
Will it share its knowledge?
Will it be the same
As the words being read by scholars?

If your life is a fire,
Will it show light?
Will it be the same
As the heat warms the wayfarers?

If your life is justice,
Will it establish fairness?
Will it be the same
As the judge sentences righteousness?

If your life is a rock,
Will it stand against storm?
Will it be the same
As the hardiness that soon breaks?

If your life is a tree,
Will it bring shade?
Will it be the same
As the leaves whisper secrets?

If your life is a carriage,
Will it carry its passengers?
Will it be the same
As the wheel turns on every road?

If your life is a jar,
Will it be filled by water?
Will it be the same
As the water flows down the throat?

If your life is a flower,
Will it stay simple?
Will it be the same
As the butterflies kiss its petals?

If your life is like mine
Will you still like it?
Will it be the same
As the life you’re used to?

If I am lazy
Will you give me time?
If I am dull
Will you share your knowledge?

If I am blind
Will you show my way?
If I am a criminal
Will you sentence me death?

If I am weak
Will you help me stand again?
If I am tired
Will you bring me shade?

If I can’t walk
Will you carry me to my destination?
If I am thirsty
Will you let me drink?

If I am displeasing
Will you compare me to a flower?
If you still like me
Will you say yes freely?
